Do I have to manually right-click on my WinXP VM's desktop and choose the option to 'refresh' if I want to see and have access to any files that reside on the desktop which have recently been added?? I find that I have to do this all too often, otherwise I will be looking at files that no longer exist (as they've been deleted or moved by me), or I just won't see files that have been added or have changed since the desktop was last refreshed...

...and I do have Parallel's option to use a shared home folder (and shared desktop) with my Mac OS (10.5.4)...

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated... Thanks!

Such situation can occur in case of Mac high load, or if MacFuse got corrupted, try to decrease Mac load and install the latest macfuse version from http://code.google.com/p/macfuse/

not really sure what you mean 'High Mac Load', and I am not really sure what MacFuse has anything to do with this issue (unless that was something that got installed via the Parallels Desktop installer when I initially installed Parallels...if it was not installed alongside of parallels, then I know if I've installed it separately...
