hey guys i have a problem..and u guys seem to know how to fix some of these problems so i downloaded a good version of XP Pro as a .iso .. and when i selected it to become my new virtual machine PD gave me -enter product key here- tab which i proceeded to grab a random Key from some forum online later when xp was installing, it asked me again for the product key..so i wrote in the same key i wrote in when PD asked me for it ..but it didnt work, and the .iso i used didnt have a serial attached what do i do now? what key do i write in when PD asks me for it? im so confused thanks in advance for the help guys
Hi, it is as follows: 1. Parallels Desktop asks you to enter activation code once you try to start it (not windows but Parallels Desktop itsself) - in this case you need to enter activation code from CD with Parallels Desktop or code which was sent to you by email in case you bought Parallels Desktop online. 2. When you install Windows under Parallels it will also ask you fo activation code - here you will need to enter activation code for Windows. Windows is not a free software and you need to activate it regardless of you are insalling it on PC or running it on MAC under Parallels or from boot camp. If you need activation key from windows you can find it on CD/DVD box with Windows installatin disk (om case you have one) or you can get it if you buy Windows on microsoft web site.
