Using the instructions provided on this site (http://kb.parallels.com/en/4664), I created an image of my Windows XP (SP1) CD and then copied it to my Macbook Air. I then was able to start installation of XP, but I can never get past the "37 minutes remaining" portion as it stalls at that point. I'm using build 5608 (6/9/08).

I'd really appreciate any help anyone could provide.

    Thanks in advance,

    John

Please try to disable Intel -VT-x and Hardware Acceleration on Parallels Desktop -<Virtual Machine name>-Edit-Virtual Machine -Options -Advanced

    That did the trick.

I was able to install XP and then do all the Windows updates without any problems. I then re-enabled Intel-VT-x and it continues to run fine.

    Thanks for your help!
