Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help.
I was running Windows XP in Parallels Desktop fine in OS X tiger until recently the Windows started updating and restarting automatically. After the windows update, I ran a program in Windows XP and it froze the whole system (Macbook Pro running os x tiger) both in Windows XP and OS X. I powered off the computer by pressing the power button to restart the computer, and after the computer restarted, I tried to open Parallels. Now it's asking me to install windows from scratch. Did anyone have a similar experience? This is driving me crazy as I need to run windows at work, and I would greatly appreciate anyone's help. Thanks.

I am not sure that I understood you correctly.
    1) If your Windows dissaperaed from Parallels you can try to open it. It located in your home directory (by default) into Parallels directory.
    2) If Windows installation was corrupted you can boot into safe mode and remove Windows updates and try to boot windows again.
    3) If Windows installation was corrupted and you cannot boot it into safe mode you can try to repair it. Parallels has article how you can perform it:
