I have installed Parallel desktop for mac and I run Windows XP SP2 on it. In Windows, I have the Admin account and a user with admin privileges, both with passwords. When I launch Parallel desktop, it keeps wanting to open in the Admin account, sometimes without even asking for the account password. How can I make sure that Windows always gives me the User / Password window at startup?
Not sure... There's no error, Windows boots correctly, but directly into the Admin account, and most of the time without showing me the login/password window. I then simply have to end the session, the login window appears, and the I can click and enter the password for that user... And then everything is fine. But what I want is for Windows not to bypass the login/password window on launch. I want to be able to select the user and I want that user to type his password.
I have had the same problem and found two threads to find the answer. Please review posts date 3-31-08 and 6-23-07. http://forum.parallels.com/showthrea...+admin+account if you can get into this thread it will help. The answers is go to the run command and type in control userpassword2 and click the checkbox. I hope this helps you, it helped me.
