Fatal error in virtual machine monitor

    Out of the blue I keep getting a 'fatal error in virtual machine monitor' and the VM crashes.

    All I did a few days ago was install AVG8.

    Anybody? This keeps happening making parallels unusable

    AVG free 8 is OK so far

    which version are you using?

    with all sorts of bells and whistles?
    I use a simple freebie firewall not a package

    I use AVG 8 on 4 iMacs with Parallels without a problem. For some reason my MBA is crashing in parallels all of the time. It is virtually unusable. Used to be OK.

    I have re-installed Parallels but it still does it.

    I actually don't think AVG is the problem.
