After I Merged Snapshots Windows will not Boot

    After I merged snapshots using Parallels Image Tool Windows XP hangs during the boot process. Any ideas?
    I merged snapshots in preparation of compacting my virtual disk which has run out of usable space.

    When I restore from backup, I can boot without incident.

    Parallels Ver 5600
    Mac OS 10.5.2
