When I opened my macbook pro this morning, I found that a number of word (for mac) documents sitting on my desktop, as well as a number of recent word documents in my documents folder, were showing the word for windows icon with the little parallels logo attached. This meant (of course) that when I tried to open them, they opened in Windows. Thinking about it, each of the documents that had its icon changed was originally a word for windows document - either sent to me by other people, or created by me in Parallels. This is not a show stopper, and anyway I told the "get info" box to open all documents of that type in Mac word. But it's still irritating - what gnome got into my computer overnight and decided that word docs originally created in windows should now show that icon in my mac? Plus this only happened after I downloaded an Office for Mac update yesterday afternoon. Anyone else had this problem? Macbook Pro 2.4 ghz, XP pro, Parallels build 5584. Tom
