it has happened 3 times in 2 days now...when i restart XP the desktop appears with no icons..no start menu nothing... i have to mess around with view ..applications...hit the start menu icon... sometimes it works ..sometime it doesnt... how can i fix it?
this is a windows problem the answer may lie in Windows control panels or user ID and permissions a weekend guess Hugh W
