Hi, When I try to watch a video file that is encoded anamorphic in Parallels Desktop the video looks really awful. Videos that don't use the anamorphic feature look fine. It doesn't matter which player I use, it's always the same (WMP, MPC, Zoom Player) Is this a bug? in Parallels: http://img525.imageshack.us/my.php?image=bild8pc9.png In a real Windows installation: http://img525.imageshack.us/my.php?image=bild9is9.png MFG Arret
Hi, my preferable Media Player is WinAmp and while I have installed Parallels mainly to test software, I often use it to bring down my favorite media-player which is "windows-only" to my Mac. It never occured to me that there is a difference for videos running WinAmp nativly under Windows or virtualised by Parallels under Mac OS. Maybe my config is giving you some clue: I have K-Lite Codec Pack installed on Windows XP (VM) and run Parallels on a Macbook Pro 15"/2,4GHz with nVidia Geforce 8600GT-M. For the VM I didnt even install Apples Bootcamp drivers and the included original nvidia driver, I only installed "Parallels Tools" and their video driver and everything is alright... (Exept proper hardware GPU-acceleration for video I guess, but it works alright) cheers Dennis
