Problem with IP difference in guest windows machine. Hello, I have recently installed parallels 3.0 with a guest Windows XP OS on my MacBookpro (OSX version 10.5.2: leopard) .The guest OS seems to be working correctly. The only problem is that the IP address of the guest Windows differs form that of my Mac Ethernet network (I've checked the Windows and Mac's IP using ipconfig and ifconfig commands). Although, the current problem seems not to be very serious but as I'm going to use a program license on a remote server, my guest windows, as a result of this IP difference, fails to reach the license file on the server. Do you have any idea how I could solve this problem? Your help much appreciated. Spak
Hello Xenox, Thanks for your prompt reply. My Mac's ethernet network has been configured using DHCP protocol and a PAC file proxy. So I'm wondering how can I use a bridged Ethernet as my IP can change time by time I connect to the network. Could you please provide me with more information. With regards, Spak
Thanks. It works now and my program can reach to the license file on the server using the bridged ethernet.
