I tried to install Vista SP1 this morning. No Joy. I have Leopard 10.5.2 (all the latest updates). Parallels VM for Vista installed an appears to run correctly. The sp attempts to reboot several times and fails. Has anybody installed the sp1 for Vista? Many Thanks, Lonely in SC.
Installed Vista SP1 and have had no problems. Been running it for 5 days of heavy use in Parallels and Boot Camp
BootCamp or VM? Did you install in a VM Parallels or a Bootcamp or both? I know that it installs fine in Bootcamp (I installed while booted into Windows) and therefore runs in a Parallels bootcamp ala SP1. BUT, I was unable to install it from a straight vm. I have two machines: one running windows in bootcamp, one just vm. I much prefer the vm -- I can suspend, start quickly, etc. The vm died in the latter portions of the install -- when windows says "it is restarting several times, may take more than hour, etc." It appeared that after one of the "restarts" it didn't re-pickup the installation thread. I was hoping the tech support people would respond as this will soon be an issue.
