Hi, I have a Mac Pro 2.66 with Mac OS X 10.5.1 and an Apple USB modem running Parallels (second latest build) and whenever Parallels is running the mac will not detect modem rings and therefore will not receive faxes. When I go to the little USB icon there is no check mark beside the modem so it doesn't appear that Parallels is using the modem. So I'm not too sure what could be causing the issue. When Parallels is not running it is fine! Thanks in advance, Graham
Hello Graham, Please check in VM Configuration Editor if you have USB Controller set to connect USB to Guest OS at startup. Set it to get connected to Mac OS by default. Best regards, Xenos
Can Parallels running Windows XP Pro use the Apple USB Fax Modem to send faxes from the Windows environment. Thanks. Bud James
Hello Bud James, Yes you can use Apple USB Fax Modem in your VM. But you will probably have to install BootCamp drivers: Insert the original Leopard DVD into the DVD drive of the Mac. Connect the disk to the virtual machine by choosing the "Default CD/DVD" drive under the "Devices - DVD rom" menu. The drivers will get installed automatically. Best regards, Xenos
Will it work for OSX 10.4 and Vista? Should your suggestion also work for Win Vista mounted on a Mac OSX 10.4? fshoff
