I have a M1 Pro MacBook and a Dell monitor. Every time I start Windows 11 VM, I have to reset my "main display" and reset the display resolutions. Is there a way to make these settings permanent, so I don't have to reset them every time? Thanks.

    Hello,
As a possible solution, kindly follow the below steps:
    0. Shut down the affected virtual machine.
    1. Open Control Center > select the cogwheel > Configure
    2. Select Hardware > Graphics > Change to "Best for external displays".
    3. Modify each screen resolution inside Windows 11 with the help article.
    4. Restart your Windows 11 and verify if the issue is present ?
If the issue still persists, kindly reproduce the issue and collect a technical report (right-click Parallels icon in Dock > Help > Send technical data > check "Attach screenshots..." > press Send Report) and provide us with the report's 9-digit ID in reply to this post.
    Thank you.

Hi. I got an M4 Max Macbook Pro with this same issue. Namely, when I load up Windows 11 VM, the display settings of one of my monitors reverts to 1920 x 1080 when I want it to stick to the resolution of 2560 x 1440.

The steps outlined above are not available for me in Parallels. When I click on configuration > hardware > graphics, it just says: "System memory is used for graphics. Learn more..." with System memory link taking me over to CPU & Memory. In other words, it doesn't give the option to change graphics to "best for external displays"

Is there another area to check to get the VM display settings to stay how I set them when it's running? This is really annoying having to do this every time.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

Please take a screenshot of the Graphics tab and send in rely to this e-mail.

Also, please collect a technical report while the VM is running (right-click Parallels icon in Dock > Help > Send technical data > check "Attach screenshots..." > press Send Report) and provide us with the report's 9-digit ID in reply to this post.
