Microsoft is demanding I reinstall windows and I've been tearing my hair out trying to do so. I tried downloading an ISO, but that was x64. I tried downloading ARM 64 but it was a VHDX. Microsoft says I should be able to download an ISO and install without deleting my old install, but there doesn't appear to be any way to do so? What a waste of three hours lol
If you are installing on a Mac with a M1 or M2 chip, you can easily use the VHDX file to install Windows. Why would you want to install a 32 bit version of Windows unless you really want to use Windows 10. And if that's the case, why would you post in a Mac with Apple Silicon forum? Anyway, if you were trying to install Windows 11 it is ONLY 64bit. If you really thought you needed an ISO, you can go to uupdump.net and create an ISO there. If you really want to download the ISO from Microsoft, just choose that option on microsoft.com.
Incidentally, uupdump.net has both Intel and ARM versions of Windows 10 and Windows 11 available to download as ISO files. Save yourself a lot of time and hassles and just go there to download what you need.
No idea other than you said you couldn't use the ISO from MS or the VHDX file. Glad you figured out a way to get an ISO and uupdump.net is really the fastest, easiest way to create an ISO.
