    Hi

    I just purchased Parallels Workstation.

I'm running Windows Vista Business as host. I installed parallels workstation and ran the update.

Using the default options I have created various virtual machines an have tried to install

    fedora core 6
    ubuntu 5.00
    kubuntu 6.10
    ubuntu 7.10

    all installations have failed..

for instance when running the live-cd of ubuntu pretty much the first thing I see is the notice

PCI: cannot allocate resource region 0 of device 0000:00:03.0

    here is a screenshot:

Reinstalling, and recreating VMs did not solve this problem. The virtual disk size I have entered is 10000 mb

Does anyone have a solution to this problem or knows the reason?

    Regards

It seems you have problem with DVD/CD-ROM source. Make sure that all disk's files are read correctly in you primary OS or check ISO image control sum if you are using iso image for installation.
