    Hello,
I need to open the Finder with a path I pass from a software running in the Windows installation.
To be more precise: our Windows software stores paths on a network share, and it should be possible to open the Finder with that path from the Windows software.
And yes, I'm the guy that writes that Windows software, and I already have code that translates the Windows path to a MacOS path.
Thank you very much for any hint!
    Wolfgang

Hello WolfgangR5, Kindly start the Windows virtual machine and go to the top menu bar, click on Actions--> Configure--> Options--> Sharing--> Shared folders and change to " All Disks ". Now go to ' This PC ' and check with Home on Mac drive or other folders which you can see in ' This PC '

    Hello,
thank you for your answer, but I think I have not expressed clearly what I mean: I need to open the Finder on the Mac from a Windows program inside of the Parallels virtual machine. In our Windows software we have paths of files, that the Mac user needs then to open from the Finder, mostly any sort of graphics files.

Let us know the application you are using in Windows. Does that application allow accessing files from the network drive? Are you trying to open a file from Mac side using File > Open File on the Windows Application?

    Hi Ajith,
the application is an ERP software written by myself, and as I wrote, the application has references to folders and files that are available both on the Mac and the Windows side (I already have the rules to transform the paths).
What I would accomplish is that my program opens the finder on the Mac side with a path I pass along.
I know that these are two different systems, but maybe the emulation software offers a sort of API to allow this.
    Thank you very much!
    Wolfgang
