hi, maybe after the last Windows 10 update I've no more wireless icon in Control Panel -> Network, nor wi-fi connections, both in Home and Pro virtual machines. I can't connect to my wifi network and not print. I'm trying in Configuration both "Bridged" and "Shared" options... Is the no wifi icon in tray, is it normal? Salvo
Even if Bridged > WiFi is selected in VM configuration your Windows virtual machine will only show a LAN icon not a WiFi. This is because your virtual machine is not going to use the network adapter on your Mac instead it will use the virtual network adapter provided by Parallels Desktop.
I have a related question. Parallels 14 Windows 10 I need to print via wifi to a printer that only has a PC driver. After I Configure the Wifi in the Parallels Menu Tab, I still only see the Ethernet as the Network Connection in Windows. Even after re-start. Is there something I am missing?
Hi MichaelB52. The network connection in the Windows virtual machine will be always shown as 'Ethernet' only. However, you can connect your Mac to the WiFi network and the Windows will share the same network connection through virtual ethernet adapter. Please refer this article and set the network source to 'Default Adapter' so that the virtual machine will get a separate IP address directly from the router and you can configure the network printer in the virtual machine directly as you do in a real PC.
