While I want to install Windows 8.1 or 10 (Dutch) from an .iso file on my Parallels 12 desktop, it says in both situations installation files are missing. What is the cause of this problem and how can I solve it? Both .iso files are from microsoft. 8.1 Downloaded van de microsoft website, and 10 created from Microsoft Creative Tool. My license code supposed to work also.
Hello Guusv, could you please check and let us know what version of Windows 10 you have purchased i.e. Windows 10 Home, Pro or Single language? If the Windows 10 license key belongs to Home Pro edition, please make sure you have downloaded Windows 10 (not Windows 10 N or single language). You may also try below steps and keep us posted: 1. Install Windows 10 without an activation key and by using Express Installation unchecked: http://kb.parallels.com/4729 2. After the Windows 10 installation is complete, go to Settings --> Update and security --> Activation, and click: Change product key. 3. Enter the product key to activate Windows 10.
Thanks, It worked. But now I have another problem. It only installs as 32 bit, but it says that it runs on an 64 bit processor.I need 64 bit windows. But if I'm installing it again it stays 32 bit. How can I get it as 64 bit?
Use this link to download Windows 8.1 / 10 ISO from Microsoft and you will need to choose 64-bit Download for getting a 64 bit ISO.
I tried to install Windows 10: Win10_1607_N_EnglishInternational_x64.iso through Parallels Desktop 12 on Mac Book Pro 15 with OS Sierra, but got a message: "no images are available" Installation failed. What shell do I?
Hello AlexanderS11, please make sure Windows 10 license key is specifically for Windows 10 N. If it is, please download and install Windows 10 N (While downloading Windows 10, please select Windows 10 N) and if you have purchased Windows 10 Home or Pro, please select Windows 10 while downloading. You may also try below steps and check if that fixes the issue: 1. Install Windows 10 without an activation key and by using Express Installation unchecked. 2. After the Windows 10 installation is complete, go to Settings --> Update and security --> Activation, and click: Change product key. 3. Enter the product key to activate Windows 10.
