Hi all, i'm trailing parallels and only want it to do one thing and that is access the windows version of excel. i've had a problem and listed it on the forums, searched the forms, searched the faq's etc but no answer. how do i get support from parallels? Here's the question again just in case someone has an answer; Hi i've just gone through the install of Parallels 8 (trial version). i already had windows 7 on bootcamp and OSX 10.8.2 on my macbook pro. When launching the windows version of excel for the first time i get this message; "Microsoft Office has detected a change in your hardware. Please activate" i tried to go through the activation process but was told that my copy of excel had already been activated. This i knew and i also knew that my office was a single use. I have bought office for mac and now office for windows to use on my bootcamp but do i really need to buy a new version to use with parallels too. I'm on one machine and have to buy three versions? Do i need to buy a new activation of excel to use it via parallels? I'm accessing it via my OSX and i installed Parallels via the bootcamp route so i'm guessing that i'm entering excel via my already installed version on bootcamp. thanks Shane
Did you install Parallels Tools? Also, I think it's rather 'brave' to use your Bootcamp installation with Parallels if you are just trialling the software.
I updated from version 10 to 12 yesterday (12/18) and got a Product Key, but I when I enter the key, my only option shown is to buy (I had just paid for it) or trial installation. How do I fix this?????
I'm unable to provide a screen shot because I can't duplicate what I did that cause this mess. Originally when I purchased version 12, I got a screen that requested I enter the Product Key, which I did. However, the activate button was grayed out and I could not enable/activate it.
Hi @JonL3 we've received your reply and license key. One more question to you, could you please send us your purchase documents for Parallels Desktop 10 and 12? Looking forward to your reply.
