Does Parallels 12 fix Virtual hard disk problem?

I have run out of space on my virtual hard drive and have followed all the instructions given on this web site except running the terminal instructions. If I upgraded from Parallels 10 to 12 would that fix the issue without going to the 'DOS' prompts?

Are you trying to increase the hard disk of Window virtual machine? If so, what is the version of Windows?
Additionally, plz try our 14 days trial version of Parallels Desktop 12 for Mac
We strongly recommend that you check your virtual machine's hard disk for errors and backup your virtual machine before increasing the hard disk size.
