    Hello,
my Win7 VM is broken. It will not start anymore. I didnt change anything. Copying the .pvm file from the imac to the macbook wont help. there is the same error. First i ve tried this: http://kb.parallels.com/de/111739

and at last i tried this: copying every file in the .pvm-container exect the .hdd-container , which contains the windows data. then the VM starts in Dos mode, but tells me after checking Ram etc. that the vm is missing the operating system :(

What can i do, to get on my files? Greetings Bob

Hello BLG, you are trying to run the virtual machine from a User account which does not have appropriate permissions. Please set appropriate permissions and then move it to your iMac as mentioned in this article and let us know how it works.

Hi BLG, did you logout your Windows virtual machine from other Mac user profiles?

Hi, please shut down your VM and restart Mac to check whether the issue persists or not

I have been having the same issue and no cd with which to repair. Did all the steps and lost all certificates and keys and now am running on unregistered software.
