Parallels has been offering a tech guarantee for a free upgrade in years past. Is this gone for 2016? I found last year's link on the website: http://www.parallels.com/techguarantee2015/ Years past have published the guarantee starting late July, just prior to the release of latest version of MacOS (X).
Hi JamesG7, We have not yet launched Tech Guarantee this year. Stay tuned for the updates on our website and thanks for reaching out ! Thanks, Dhana.
So, just to be clear, if I upgrade to the Parallels Desktop 11 for Mac (Home Edition) today -- during the birthday sale -- I will probably have to upgrade yet a second time this year for the version that offers full support of MacOS Sierra?
Hello BobL3, You can purchase Parallels Desktop 11 subscription where the license allows to upgrade to future Parallels Desktop versions at no additional charge. Once a new version is released, you will simply need to download it from the Parallels website.
Will there be a Tech guarantee for 2016? In earlier years the program started usually at the beginning of August but I haven't heard anything about it this year...
I saw this a few days ago: http://blog.parallels.com/2016/08/01/service-notification/ Three paragraphs down it says: "As an added bonus when you upgrade to Parallels Desktop 11 you automatically qualify to get our next version at no additional cost to you.". So, it seems that they are, but I'm not sure if I am going to believe the blog. I think I am going to wait for an official http://www.parallels.com/techguarantee2016/ page.
