    Hello,

I have been using Parallels 9 for a very long time to play some Windows only games on my Mac.
However, today I have come across an error I have no idea how to fix.

Before anyone tells me to "search Google" or this forum first, I already have and followed every step but still no fix.

Whenever I start my Virtual Machine, I get an error saying "Unable to connect to Hard Disk 1, corrupted, or another program running, etc". When I click "Run anyway," it requests me to input a windows CD or something like that which I don't have?

How can I fix my Parallels 9 and go back to what it was?

    Thanks,
    David

Hello, It seems that you're on outdated build of Parallels Desktop 11, please update Parallels Desktop to the latest build 11.1.1 (32408). You can update to the latest build as suggested in this article. Latest version always available here: http://www.parallels.com/directdownload/pd11/ Please note that Parallels Tools also needs to be updated (Actions > Update Parallels Tools). Please see this article to know more about Parallels Desktop 11 for Mac updates summary.

But doesn't that require me to pay an extra $50 to upgrade? I don't want to pay for a product I already purchased for $70 again. I'd rather just stick with Parallels 9 which has been working until yesterday. Also, I cannot even install another Parallels version because it keeps telling me to close an instance of Parallels but when I close it, the installation closes as well.
