First time posting here, so apologies in advance, etc.
I'm trying to install a second VM with the configuration specified in the title. Every time I click on the setup.exe file for Office 2013, my other Parallels VM (Parallels 9, Windows XP) opens instead of the Windows 7 VM. If I "trick" the Windows 7 VM into trying to open the Office exe file, I get a message from Office
    Couldn't install
Is your internet connection working? Do you have enough free space on your main hard drive?

I do have enough space, but I don't allow my Windows programs access to the internet. That's the whole point of using a Mac IMHO.

Is that why I'm having this problem? I installed the same configuration on my MacBook and didn't run into this problem.

    Hello SharonG,

    1. Please shut down your Windows 7 Virtual Machine by clicking on Virtual Machine -> Shutdown.

    2. Do not close Parallels Desktop Window.

    3. Right click ( control + click ) on Windows 7 and select the option : Show in Finder

    4. Now right click on Windows 7. PVM file and select the option : open with -> Parallels Mounter.

    5. Open the mounted drive and Copy the Microsoft Office 2013. exe file from your Mac and paste it in the mounted drive and close it.

    6. Again right click on the mounted drive and select the option : Eject

    7. Restart the Virtual Machine ( Windows 7 ) and go to : My computer -> Double click on C:/ ( Drive )

    8. Your Microsoft Office 2013. exe file will be present in it.

    9. Double click on the .exe file and continue with the installation process and see how it goes!!

Thank you, Maheesh, for taking the time to post this information. I tried this, but when I was half-way through the process, the program asked me to insert the Windows 7 disk, which I did. The computer then froze. After a while, I forced it to shut down and when I rebooted, I had the white screen of death. I was able to eject the Windows disk by holding down the mouse when booting. I tried resetting the PRAM and SMC, to no avail.

    Hello SharonG,

Please generate a report id as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/9058 and provide us the problem report number.

Note: Generate report id when installation asks you for a Windows disk.

Thanks for replying, Ram, but I can't do anything on that computer right now, since I can't get rid of the white screen of death.

    Hi SharonG,

Please run Windows repair as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/5223 which will help you in resolving the Windows white screen of death.
And after doing the repair, you will need to reinstall Parallels Tools(http://kb.parallels.com/4841) to avoid any possible issues.
