Hi all, Just downloaded win 8 915440 using IE and download manager. Created a new VM in Parallels Workstation 6, and booted from the iso. I get a 4 paned, blue window and nothing else. Do we have to do something special to load win 8?
Same thing here. I tried to install Windows 8 from a DVD drive. Workstation says "SCSI controller is not installed", then boot from DVD drive, but later Windows 8 says " Your PC ran into a problem. We're collecting some problem info....." and it loops around. I tried to re-install change BIOS settings, but no success. I tried to install tools from the installation folder, but still the same. Hoping somebody from the Parallel Technical Stall will address this kind of problem here. My Machine is Z87x-UD5H, i7 3.5GB, 32 GB RAM (8GB 4x) 2GB Radeon HD 7870, 500 GB Seagate (2x) 250GB Seagate and 1000GB Seagate, 3x DVD Drive, Window 7 Ultimate 64Bit.
Re: Install Windows 8 I figured out that Parallel Workstation has no support for Windows 8, the option to create Windows 8 Virtual PC is just a decoration. Sorry for this but we are fooled. LOL
The only thing I can think of is that your downloaded file is corrupt. Have you tried redownloading it ?
Hi, Can you give exact error, also regarding "SCSI controller is not installed", did you try changing BIOS setting to use IDE ? Some time supported scsi and raid driver are not present in image.
Hi, Compared to an upgrade installation, a clean install is almost always the better way to install Windows 8. A clean install won't bring with it any problems. best formal shirts
