Hello, I could really do with some help, please

I'm currently trying to do some testing with two Windows VMs. They need to be able to communicate with each other.
So far I can only ping one way but not the other and I can get internet traffic on both.

I have tried all the configurations that I think would work mainly bridge connections with static or DHCP reserved (router).

At this point I think its best to hypothetically say I'm not really sure what I'm doing instead of saying what I have (tried which is a lot) and not (the little I haven't) tried

I have a MacBook with airport (main connection) and ethernet

Best regards and Thanks for the help,
    Richard

    Hi,

The first question, is whether internet works on both VMs when they are connected to Bridged networking (it should be either Default/Built-In/Airport - depending of what works in your network environment).

If it works (assuming from your post, that it does), then most likely it is an issue with firewall inside Windows. If you have installed Parallels Internet Security, please disable it (just to check whether all works). If you have not, then disable Windows Firewall. In XP it can be done from ControlPanel->Networking Connections -> Change Windows Firewall Settings (in "Network Tasks" area on the left).

Note: it is not sufficient to stop the Firewall-service. It should be disabled using this way.
