    Hi

I am having a problem with using VPN from my Windows XP VM. When I am trying to connect through VPN in the VM, depending on the network device setting, I get these two situations:
When using shared connection, I am receiving an error 721.
When using bridge mode, either through wireless or ethernet, then the VPN connects but I am not able to access any servers. A login dialog popups, as it is supposed to do, but it seems like it will not send or receive information to or from the server when trying to login. The same goes for SVN where an "Error" 200 is the only responds I receive, when trying to access the repository.

When I bypass the AE and goes through my cable modem there are no problems at all. It is also strange that I can connect fine through VPN when doing this from Snow Leopard and accessing through the AE and everything works as it should.

Even though it should be possible to share the VPN from host to guest OS, I have not been able to do so successfully.

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards

    Kim

It is the most promising direction.

    A couple of questions:

    1) What is the build of Parallels Desktop you are using (9220 or 9308)?

    2) What is the VPN-client you are using on Mac OS?

    1) I am using the 9308 build

    2) I am using the build-in VPN client in SL

    VPN problem

Pre 5.0, I would connect to the VPN with the builtin Apple networking and then go into the XP guest and log in. Worked beautifully. Parallels is in bridging mode.

Now I connect the VPN on the mac side, which asks for my user and password and then connects just fine. Inside the XP guest, no go. I ran ipconfig and instead of seeing a LAN ip from my work, I see a different IP address. release and renew doesn't effect it.

Should the "send all traffic over the VPN" setting be sending the DHCP requests over the VPN? If so, then it isn't.
