In Parallels 4, upon booting Windows XP, Parallels shrinks (so there is video overlay.. (vertical scroll bars appear to see rest of desktop)

Windows also changes to 800x600. This is always annoying as i have to set display resolution in display properties every time i boot up.

Is there any way to automatically fix the resolution to the window ?

    resolution

Here are the screenshot.. Its for Windows 2003, but the same happens regardless of windows version

Time sync in PD4 with Parallels Tools installed sometimes looses or gains one hour.

Please check what you can see in Device Manager, I mean is there any video card device, which is Exclamation mark or Question mark marked?

Delete any custom video drivers if you have, delete video device and restart VM

Would I have to re-install Parallels Tools? as when I delete device from Device Manager & restart vm, the "Standard VGA adapter" is found. Scanning new hardware does not fix this.

I deleted video device but to no avail. when i restarted the vm, it defaulted to "Standard VGA adapter:.."

I then tryed to re-install Parallels Tools.. this also did not replace the driver..

How can you completely remove Parallels Tools ... ? I think there could be a conflict.

Do you have any video drivers installed?
Or may be antivirus prevents installation,
Anyway if you meet problems, I suggest to create ticket in support queue , because further investigation is required to check logs

    Experiencing the same problem

I'm experiencing exactly the same problem. I don't have any customer video adapters installed. IT is using Parallels Video Adapter. And yet every time I reboot, I am set back to 1279x584. Parallels Tools was installed. This sounds like a bug to me....

As far as I remember I answered you in another post, this is MB 13 inches limitation,
In full screen you can get higher,
Additionally, if you remove Parallels Tools you can set any resolution in VM
