I&#039;m trying to run Ubuntu arm with KDE plasma on Mac M4 Max on most current <br />

Sadly I hit one bumper after another. Basically I only want to the most native feeling as possible.<br />

My issues so far:<br />
1. Resolution<br />
Display setup: I can&#039;t set the correct resolution in Linux. I found one that is okay but not the ratio of mac. I tried with different parallels options like Retina or scaled and fullscreen settings. No luck so far.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I am late to the  party (did not have time to update my kernel in time), so the attached patch was not created by me, but by somebody else.  Thanks goes to <a href="https://forum.parallels.cn/members/6698659/" class="username" data-user="6698659, @MichelH3">@MichelH3</a> for providing a link.  The patch was reviewed, reworked to have conditionals on the kernel version, it applies cleanly to the latest Parallels Tools (at the time of the writing)., and works on my Intel-based VM fine (there are also reports that the patch works for ARM-based version too).<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[As the title says, I was confused for a very long time because in Linux (X server only-not wayland) whenever I snapped a window on the screen edge inside the vm, it caused this area to become unclickable. E.g. even if I moved the window, I was not able to click anything on that area!. xprop showed this when inspecting the unclickable area which doesn&#039;t seem normal:<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I run two or three VMs usually, and I always have the same problem. Performance starts out great, but slows over time until the VM becomes completely unusable. Then I have to restart it. <br />
<br />
Eventually the length of time I can go between restarts shortens to just a few minutes. When this happens, I backup my home folder, delete the VM, and rebuild it. This restarts the cycle.<br />
When this happens, CPU usage in the VM itself, CPU usage from my Mac, they&#039;re both normal. No spikes, nothing weird....<br />
